Sassicaia 2018

The Sassicaia 2018 (75 cl) is an iconic red wine from Tenuta San Guido, produced in the renowned Bolgheri area of ​​Tuscany. This winemaking masterpiece, one of the most famous “Super Tuscans”, is composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and a small percentage of Cabernet Franc (15%).

Organoleptic characteristics

• Color : Intense ruby ​​red with garnet reflections, brilliant and deep.
• Aroma : Elegant and complex, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and blackcurrant, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, tobacco, leather and a balsamic touch. Delicate mineral nuances and refined roasting also emerge.
• Taste : On the palate it is harmonious, with silky and well-integrated tannins, a lively acidity and a solid structure. The finish is long and persistent, with hints of ripe fruit, spices and an elegant minerality.

The 2018 vintage was characterized by favorable weather conditions, with a rainy winter and a mild spring that guaranteed excellent vegetative growth. The summer, with balanced temperatures and good temperature ranges, allowed excellent ripening of the grapes, giving the wine great complexity and longevity.
